From a personal perspective, I have only started taking my fitness and health seriously in the last 3/4 years (48 now). I am now proud to be as fit as ever in my life and now at Ultra Marathon / Triathlon level. I do not share this to be clever, I share it because I believe it is vitally important to me and has made a difference to all aspects of my life.
I speak to many people in the 40+ age range and lots find it really difficult to find the time or motivation to get into a serious fitness regime but would very much like to.
I am therefore on a mission. At 15ten15 we are passionate & obsessed that health and fitness can make a difference in all aspects of your life and in my Coaching/Speaking business health and fitness are always a key discussion point. Therefore I am looking to build a list of both men and women who are in the 40+ age range, who have found fitness and are feeling better because of this.
I want to then share their stories, share how they did it and help inspire others. I believe if we can compile a list 40 individuals who are prepared to share their story, people will start to see its possible, will find the motivation to make a change and to actually start “Living a better life!” There are many books/magazines about fitness but I do believe every day people with busy lives find these very difficult to really associate with. Our stories will be real, real people, real issues and stories that people can really relate to.
Are you, or do you know someone in this space who would be happy to chat and share? At 40+ we are not finished, we have much more to give and I believe could help motivate many others.
Obviously if there any sports / fitness businesses who would like to get involved to promote this mission I am also very keen to link up and work together in helping motivate people
